Staying in Compliance
Registered manufactured homes in Lee County must remain in compliance with applicable registration, tax, and decal requirements. Homeowners should:
- Maintain a current annual registration.
- Properly display a valid manufactured home decal.
- Pay all applicable registration fees, county garbage fees, and fire protection fees.
- Notify the appropriate county office of changes in ownership, location, or status.
- Retain proof of ownership, including title documentation or other required records.
- Ensure all applicable property taxes are paid when due.
- Renew the manufactured home registration on time to avoid penalties and additional fees.
Citations & Enforcement
A citation may be issued when a manufactured home remains unregistered after courtesy notices have been sent and required taxes, fees, or decals have not been paid. Citations may also be issued if the required annual decal is not properly displayed.
Maintaining current registration and proper decal display helps prevent all penalties.
Citation Fees & Penalties
- Initial citation: $15
- Additional penalty: $24 if the citation is not paid within 15 days.
