Online Vehicle Registration Renewal

Vehicle registrations may be renewed online at the Lee County Motor Vehicle Portal.

Before You Renew

  • You will need your driver's license number and tag numbers.
  • Vehicle owner must be a resident of Lee County.
  • Renewals are available through midnight on the last day of the renewal month. Renewals completed after this date are subject to a $15 late fee.
  • Ensure your mailing address is correct before submitting payment. Documents are mailed to the address on file.
  • Switching from a regular plate to a personalized plate must be completed in person.
  • Allow 7 business days to receive your tag in the mail. Replacement stickers cannot be purchased for online renewals until 7 business days have passed.
  • System overloads or technical difficulties do not excuse late fees.

Fee Breakdown

Online renewals are subject to the following processing fees:

  • 3.0% convenience fee ($3.50 minimum convenience fee)
  • $3.00 mailing fee
Convenience fees are paid directly to the online payment provider and are non-refundable.

Renewals Requiring Supporting Documents

Some vehicle registrations and specialty license plates require affidavits, eligibility documentation, or other supporting documents. While payment may be submitted online, our office reserves the right to withhold mailing registration documents until all required documentation is received and verified.

  • Other specialty/personalized tags

If your renewal requires supporting documentation, please review the requirements for your specific tag or contact our office before renewing online.

After You Renew

  • Your license plate, decal, and registration receipt will be mailed to you. Please allow 7 business days for delivery.
  • A printable receipt is available as proof of online payment only. It is not a valid registration receipt and cannot be used in place of mailed registration documents.

If There Is a Problem

If an issue occurs while processing your renewal, our office will attempt to contact you by email (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

If we are unable to reach you, your registration may be voided and your payment refunded.
