Purchased from an Individual: Alabama Title
If you purchased your motor vehicle from an individual who has an Alabama title, you will need the following documents to complete your registration:
Required Documents
- Original Title
- Sales Invoice (Bill of Sale)
- Proof of Alabama Insurance
- Driver's License for each person on the title, if more than one owner
- Proof of Lee County Residency
- Last registration, if available, or your tag number
- Credit Voucher Documentation, if applicable
Proof of Lee County Residency
Acceptable proof includes:
- Alabama driver's license with current Lee County address
- Power bill
- Gas bill
- Lease agreement
- Homestead paperwork
- Deed
- Affidavit of residency
Additional Documentation
